Societies: The SEPM is dedicated to the dissemination of scientific information on sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleontology, environmental sciences, marine geology, hydrogeology, and many additional related specialties. Dr Embry is helping to develop a pragmatic terminology and methodology for sequence stratigraphy, mainly through his participation in a working group of the International Subcommission on Stratigraphic Classification.
