Post subject:  export seismic data (2D, 3D) as a text file with all traces

version: 2012

Hi,

I have several 2D and 3D surveys which i'd like to export them as text files with all the trace points as choordinates which will serve me for the ArcGIS database which I am making.
So far I could only export these files as SEG-Y files or I could only see the choordinates at the start and end of the line, or 3 corner points in the case of a 3D cube.
Can anyone help me with that?

Thanks,

Dagan

Dagan,

You can generate "exact trace layout" by right clicking on the survey folder. This creates a polygon with mutliple polylines in it. You could export this to Arc gis (I don't know the exact format) or you could use the right click menu and use split. Polygons can alos be transfered to a pointset which will allow different export options...

hope this helps
