Post Bore Hole Imaging Log

Aren't these tools basically more highres versions of the tools are usually used for logging. The 360 view requires an internal compass and I believe the cement bond logger uses different source-receiver offsets to identify the different sonic speeds of the casing, cement and formation.

I am still naive in this field but I am sure no one can explain so much in an email. There are at least couple of pages of theory for CBL and one week of training for Borehole Imgaing tool.

FMI images provide critical information if the rock structure and sedimentary features are significant determinants of formation productivity.
