Hi,
I am Open as well as Cased hole wireline logging engineer with 5 years of experience. I did my graduation in Mechanical Engineering. I am thinking to be Petrophysicist. Are there any distance learning courses which can add value to my resume ? Please let me know.
Thanks
If you want to become a petrophysist at your own i would suggest you to
-understand working principle of all wireline logs first and look at some interprted logs as well.
-download well log exercises, print and try your interpretation.
-understand mathematical formulas regarding petrophysics like archie equation and cross plots for quantitative measurments such as volume of shale, saturation of water, porosity, permeability etc.
-try to aproach a petrophysist for time to time help and guidline.
