Post GR calibration
How can I calibrate GR log (old-fashion Soviet curve) existing in counts/min or mkR/min to API units when only lithology of well (of given area) is known? No info about tool, any charts, etc. are available.

I guess you could always try to normalize and just take the maximum GR and translate that to a value of 150 (or 200 gAPI). Old sovjet curves usually range to 30, am I right? In sand-shale settings normalization could work quite well. Otherwise you might need to use other logs and find the shale base line to use for the normalization.
