Dear all Professionals in petrophysics and geology
Can every body Help us to understand the theory and application and interpretation in bore hole imaging log in open hole log (FMI - FMI Plus - XRMI - STAR - ---- etc) and Cased hole log (Sonic Imager - Cement bond Log ) .
Thanks in Advanced .

Aren't these tools basically more highres versions of the tools are usually used for logging. The 360 view requires an internal compass and I believe the cement bond logger uses different source-receiver offsets to identify the different sonic speeds of the casing, cement and formation.

I am still naive in this field but I am sure no one can explain so much in an email. There are at least couple of pages of theory for
CBL and one week of training for Borehole Imgaing tool.

Can anybody let me understand that what is CT scanning in Bore Hole?

FMI images provide critical information if the rock structure and sedimentary features are significant determinants of formation productivity.
