My client are seeking a Technical Sales and Support Geoscientist to contribute toward the Perth based Sales Team productivity. In due course delivery of software training will also be expected of the successful candidate.
The Company provides the latest innovations in quantitative and rock physics enabled interpretation. Their products and services seek to improve prediction, search and detection methods used in seismic data analysis, and their success has resulted in their solutions being used by over 80 companies and service organisations across the world including all the major international oil companies and the majority of national oil companies.
Key Requirements
Earth Science or related degree essential.
Technical knowledge or experience of drilling wells, rock physics, geopressure analysis, logging, and/or petrophysics techniques or associated software technologies used in these areas essential.
Some experience of providing application support or application training desirable, but training will be provided.
Experience within the E&P industry essential.
Prior pre -sales and/or post-sales experience highly advantageous.
Experience supporting or using G&G applications on multiple platforms (Unix/Linux and Windows) highly desirable.
Experience in using other Geological software applications such as Petrel, Kingdom or OpenWorks highly desirable.
This job will be based at our offices in Perth, Australia.

Job Description
Provide Technical Sales assistance – working closely with the Sales Team, you will support their sales strategies; visiting existing and prospective customer sites as required to give demos and presentations of the software. You may also support clients during software evaluation periods.
Customer application training – become proficient in delivering training courses in the software.
Software Support – work with the Support team in answering client queries to a high technical standard and provide on-site consultancy to clients.
Liaise with Software Development and Technical Consultancy Teams – to feedback comments and requests from existing and potential customers, and to alert Sales Teams to future prospects.
Presentation Documentation Development and Maintenance – review and update existing presentation documentation and write new presentation documentation in line with recently introduced functionality into the software.
Software Quality Assurance – Assist with testing of pre-released versions of the Company’s software products.
Become competent – in the use of the Company’s technologies.
Knowledge development – keep abreast of industry trends and practices relating to core business.
The company will provide full training in all relevant software applications. You will work with regionally based senior geoscience professionals, offering support and mentoring.
