They are currently recruiting for the position of Subsurface Technologist, based in Surrey.
Job Description
Reporting to the RST (Reservoir Support Team) New Wells Delivery Manager, the Technologist is responsible for providing technology and data management support while planning, executing and reviewing the drilling activity for the wells drilled in field.
- Data management
- Liaise with Data Management team regarding access and filing of daily and final well documentation â€" reports, SORs, logs, etc.
- Tracking completion and cement evaluation documentation.
- Tracking of well data items, ensuring that well data filing fills our NWD requirements â€" checking that well data folder are correctly populated.
- Support NWD to keep an updated optimised drilling schedule.
- Petrotechnical
- Review and QC well data and prepare spliced complete wireline/LWD data sets for each well.
- Maintain and update Techlog (petrophysical) projects.
- Create petrophysical composite logs.
- Well Reviews
- Send out integrated well review sections, monitor progress and completion, compile and prepare basic IWR presentation.
- Office administrative
- Departmental newsletter.
- Prepare meeting minutes, champion the NWD action tracking system.
Skills & Experience
- Geoscience degree or considerable experience as Technologist in similar roles.
- Proactive work ethic - does things before being asked to or forced to by events
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the business context then acts accordingly
- Demonstrates shared commitment to the success of the team and the wider organisation
- Anticipates future situations and plans ahead to meet them
- Ability to work within a group that has significant ethnic diversity
- Fully conversant with MS-Office software.
- Good knowledge of Openworks.
- Familiar with GEO log drawing software, ARCGIS, CoVis/EarthVision .
- General familiarity with industry Petrotechnical software applications.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
