Job Overview: An international gas company seeks a Senior Petrophysicist to support their Russian ventures. Alongside a strong team of Geophysicists, Geologists and Reservoir Engineers, work with and synthesize vast and diverse geophysical and geological data sets and support reserves determination.
Key Requirements
Responsibilities: Petrophysical analysis of open hole log and core data. This includes reconciliation / calibration of appraisal wells with comprehensive suites of logs and development wells with basic set of Russian logs…Develop log and capillary based saturation height functions…Interpret PLT data with focus on inflow profiles and water movement…Represent the Company in technical work meetings with partners. Preferences: A minimum of 10 years in a technical O&G role…A strong background in Petrophysics...A sound understanding of cross-disciplines (e.g. geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering)…Experience with Russian projects highly advantageous…Competent user of petrophysical and geological software, Techlog and Petrel preferred.
Job Description
You will integrate Western and Russian style Petrophysics in order to provide a consistent view of reservoir characterisation. Our Client is responsible for Oil & Gas exploration and production activities, including developing new resources to secure long-term energy supplies and purchasing stakes in oil and gas fields or acquiring exploration and production licenses throughout the world.
