My client is currently looking for an experienced candidate to join their Houston office as a Senior New Ventures Geophysicist. This position would be suitable for a geophysicist with strong experience working onshore within the US as the successful applicant will be responsible for providing geophysical support for the client's US onshore operations group. Specific responsibilities will include seismic mapping, prospect evaluation, prospect development and basin analysis.
Key Requirements
Geophysical technical knowledge - seismic acquisition, processing, AVO
Knowledge of the interpretation of gravity and magnetic data would be an advantage
Seismic interpretation experience in a variety of structural/stratigraphic settings
Depositional systems - in-depth knowledge
Proven success working in a team environment
Ability to work independently to a high standard

Essential Job Experience:
10+ years of experience
Software proficiency - Landmark and SMT Seismic Interpretation
Previous experience working on onshore projects in the US
International experience in a variety of locations and in multiple basins
Qualifications:

Knowledge of the interpretation of gravity and magnetic data would be an advantage
Seismic interpretation experience in a variety of structural/stratigraphic settings
Depositional systems - in-depth knowledge

Excellent presentation abilities and communication skills
Education Requirements:
Master's Degree in Geoscience discipline preferred
Bachelor's Degree with extensive experience could also be considered
