Job Description
Our client is a small international operator partnering in projects across South America, Europe and Africa. They are renowned for their exploration work in deepwater environments.
The business has stakes in major offshore projects and is one of the fastest growing oil companies in Europe, being largely untouched by the current market climate.
As a Senior/Lead Petrophysicist you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Center of Excellence. You will be supporting a global portfolio of assets across the value chain from New Ventures, Exploration and Development.
This role will evolve into the Head of Petrophysics within the business.

Duties will include:
• Asset work and an additional focus on new technology introduction / improvement.
• Providing strong petrophysical analysis on technically challenging carbonate (deepwater presalt and turbidite) reservoirs.
• Plan LWD and electric wireline open hole and cased hole log acquisition.
• Perform quicklook and detailed analysis of well logs.
• Create robust lithology models, estimate reservoir porosity, permeability modelling, water saturation modelling, reservoir characterization.
• Monitor the development in petrophysical software in the industry and develop purpose made routines in the corporate log interpretation software (IP/GEOLOG)
