URGENT: 2 Year Flexible Contract...Working for an oil Operator on a long term Contract in London, you will undertake seismic interpretation projects. You will help maximize the value of the Company’s exploration activities through accurate geophysical subsurface assessment. West of Shetland assets are a key focus. Applicants are invited with a minimum of 10 years’ industry experience, and a broad exploration geophysical interpretation background. WOS’s and AVO experience highly desired. Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
• A degree in a geoscience related subject essential. MSc/PhD in Geophysics highly desired.
• A minimum of 10 years oil and gas industry experience essential.
• Strong geophysical exploration background essential.
• Previous experience working West of Shetland basins highly desired.
• AVO Analysis highly desired.
• Strong technical and commercial acumen.
• Proven experience of geophysics software essential.
• Personality and confidence to build trusting relationships across the Company.
• Ability and willingness to mentor and support more junior level staff.
• Flexible – can commit to a long term contract position. .

The role encompasses many functions including:
• Become competent in the Company’s business, work flows and practices.
• Undertake geophysical evaluation of exploration and production.
• Apply appropriate and relevant subsurface evaluation technologies (e.g. AVO analysis).
• Undertake 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and mapping.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in License Round activities.
• Promote effective project management.
• Mentor and encourage junior technical team members.
