Job Description
Senior Geomodeller
My client is in need of a Senior Geomodeller to join their team and work for them in Abu Dhabi. This is a great opportunity to work with one of the world's largest Oil and Gas operators. You will be working onshore in a permanent position.
The principal purpose of the role is to conduct, direct and participate in reservoir characterization studies in the Field, monitor the interpretation of all available geological data in order to improve the geological models of producing and/or undeveloped/potential reservoirs. Another responsibility is to build 3D geological models by incorporating reservoir rock typing, structural, seismic, SCAL data and performances uncertainty analyses.
To be suitable for this role as a Senior Geomodeller, it is required for you to have the following background:
* 10 years' experience in Petroleum Geology including at least 4 years in carbonate reservoir geology.
* Bachelor's Degree in Geology
Some of the Key Responsibilities that you will be given are as follows:
* Develops, directs, and participates in geological reservoir studies aimed at constructing and/or improving geological models.
* Evaluates geological uncertainties in the subsurface by defining and ranking geological scenarios.
* Responsible for accuracy and timely completion of reservoir geological models necessary for accurate reservoir simulation studies which are used as the basis for calculation of hydrocarbon in place and consequently resources to be committed by the company for field development.
