Contribute to technical evaluation of current Indonesia exploration licenses and new ventures opportunities.
Proactive identification, evaluation, analysis and recommendation of new exploration opportunities in Indonesia to contribute to the company's growth objectives.
Key Requirements
• MSc in Geology or equivalent.
• At least, ten years working experience, currently with an established E&P operator.
• Expertise in structural interpretation as well as seismic stratigraphy, seismic attributes knowledge.
• Expertise in depth conversion techniques.
• Familiar with workstation seismic interpretation and other technical applications; familiarity with Geoframe is an advantage.
• Proven experience in mapping.
• Good understanding of prospect evaluation, including volumetrics, risking and economics.
• GIS expertise represents an advantage.
• Presentation and report writing skills.
• Strong International experience and fluent English spoken and written is a requirement.
Job Description
The ideal candidate is a Geologist / Seismic interpreter, self-motivated, results-oriented person that has at least 10 years working experience in the oil industry with a strong background in Exploration / New Ventures and Operations with International Oil Companies.
She or he will be conversant with full cycle prospect evaluation including seismic interpretation, volumetrics and risk assessment. The candidate must have proven experience in farm out, round evaluations and comply with short deadlines.
The successful candidate will be capable of working independently, while being an excellent team player.
Essential Functions:
• 2D and 3D seismic interpretation of both operated and non-operated acreage aimed at identifying and ranking drillable prospects.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate exploration and new ventures opportunities.
• Deal with Authorities and Partners as part of operated and non-operated joint venture activities.
• Monitor industry activity, identify and bring opportunities to attention of management.
• Present to management, partners, and host government officials opportunities / company credentials.
