Job Description
My client is a leading Australian oil and gas operator with interests in exploration, production and development. They are proud to hold a large volume of offshore exploration permits and therefore are consistently meeting their exploration targets. They are looking for a driven individual to join their dedicated team as a Senior Exploration Geoscientist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment of both New Venture opportunities and existing exploration acreage. Working as part of a must-disciplinary team the candidate will need to be versatile and capable of undertaking a range of duties. These will include capturing new business, permit management and generating new prospects, leads and plays. Seismic interpretation is an important part of the role and therefore the ability to evaluate 3D and 2D seismic datasets is essential.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience and possess qualities such as:
*7+ years of experience including some work for a highly reputable operator
*Experience working in a wide range of international locations, predominantly offshore
*Degree qualified in Geoscience
*Strong knowledge of basin evolution and geological concepts
*Experience working in deepwater exploration projects
