The Bridge Energy has been assigned an international E&P to secure the hire of a Senior Basin Modeller / Petroleum Systems Analyst who will be the Global Expert in the company’s international exploration activities. You will be based in London, UK on a very attractive salary package.
Key Requirements
Basin modelling and petroleum geochemistry
Interpretation of petroleum systems related geochemical datasets with a focus on biomarkers
Performance of regional studies as well as prospect evaluation with special focus on hydrocarbon charge risking and definition of petroleum systems related uncertainties
Networking skills, established contacts within the petroleum systems community
Knowledge Requirements
• Good understanding on stratigraphy, tectonics and petrophysics
• Proficiency with at least one standard basin modelling software (PetroMod, Trinity and p:IGI, TemisFlow)
• Knowledge of numerical and analytical methods in basin modelling and petroleum geochemistry
Internationally recognized university degree in Geoscience
Job Description
Responsibilities
The candidate will have a lead advisory role in the creation of basin models for areas of active exploration activities as well as in support to new acquisitions within the company. She/he will support the project team in assessing exploration risks, mainly focusing on HC generation, charge, migration and retention.
Duties and responsibilities
Create basin models
Support project team in assessing exploration risks
Provide technical services to operating companies and the new ventures department, close liaise with the leader of the G&G service group
Build and main a geochemical data base as well as the data interpretation
Design analytical programs for exploration wells and field campaigns including contracting and monitoring of external services
Propose and monitor joint industry projects (JIPs), identify and initiate new technology developments in the basin modelling domain (as part of the G&G Technology Group)
Mentoring and training in terms of basin modelling and basic petroleum geochemistry
