Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

* The main function of the role will be to perform studies, projects and provide technical expertise to the Client;
* Carries out routine reservoir engineering functions as assigned and attends well surveillance operations when required to provide guidance in test procedures or immediate analysis of results;
* Contributes to the development of depletion strategy of assigned reservoirs in conjunction with more experienced team members.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Participates in reservoir/ well evaluation studies and monitors the performance of Oil/ Gas and injection wells;
* Establishes and follow up reservoir study work program to optimize hydrocarbon recovery in the assigned reservoirs, reviewing/ analyzing findings and implementing study recommendations;
* Participates in well site operations to ensure adherence to reservoir engineering test procedures and requirements;
* Strong background in reservoir management;
* Demonstrable ability using petroleum engineering principles to solve problems and maximize potential of the reservoir;
* Expertise in modelling and simulation software;
* Proficient reporting and presentation skills;
* Ability to work within a cross-functional, multicultural team;
* Proficient in the use of the industry standard reservoir engineering software; (MBal, Prosper, PVTP; Cristal Ball; Topaze; Saphir; Petrel RE; Eclipse or similar);
* Proficiency in spoken and written English.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* B. Sc. In Petroleum Engineering, math, physics or equivalent;
* 10 - 15 years' experience minimum in reservoir/ petroleum engineering.
