Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Real Time Geomechanics Field Professional, based in Mumbai, India.
Job Description
- Apply knowledge of onshore and offshore drilling practices to prepare and deploy real-time geomechanical modeling applications in the field and office environment using EDM software package.
- Utilized experience in data transfer systems such as WITS and WITSML.
- Apply 1D & 3D pore pressure, in situ stress, Wellbore Stability and rock mechanical property modeling using Drillworks into regional and field level interpretation.
- Generate basic pre-drill pore pressure and geomechanics solutions to be utilized for well planning applications.
- Support geomechanically dependent drilling operations and make reasonable recommendations for optimal well construction. Generate intermediate pre-drill pore pressure and geomechanics solutions to be utilized for well planning applications.
- Prepare and present project results and provide sales support for real-time and pre-drill projects.
- Provide recommendations to the client that aide in the prevention or elimination of formation fluid influx, drilling fluid loss and wellbore instability.
- Participate in the quality control processes defined by the practice and interact with other technical professional to ensure modeling solutions are timely, robust and of exceptional quality.
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
- Promote and take an active part in quality improvement processes.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering or Geoscience
- Considerable experience in drilling operations.
- Skills in Drillworks will be an asset.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
