Job Description
My client is an international oil and gas operator based in Perth, Australia. They have involvement in a number of exploration and development projects around the globe and are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their highly successful team.
The position they wish to fill is for a Manager of Geology. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team made up of a number of Geoscientists, the position will be a split focus of New Ventures as well as the exploration of existing acreage.
The client is seeking a candidate who has experience working within a diverse team. An important aspect of the position will be supervising and mentoring other members of the Exploration team. Therefore the suitable candidate will be in the early stages of their management career and looking to progress their skills and experience further working for a highly reputable operator.
Some duties that the position will include are listed below:
*Supervising the exploration team
*Meeting with regulators and JVP's
*Preparing and overseeing prepares of geological documents before presenting them to regulators.
*Reporting to the New Ventures and Exploration Managers
*Building on new and existing relationships with partners and other operators
*Providing mentoring and technical leadership to the geological staff
