JobPoster Joined: Wed Aug 08, 2012 5:58 pm Posts: 1227	GIS Mapping Analyst OilandGasPeople.com Geoscience Jobs Posted: 21 July 2015 at 11:00 Expires: 04 August 2015 at 11:00 Posted In: Geoscience > Geophysical Data Processing Location: United Kingdom > Whitehaven Job Description To work within a team of Mapping Analysts to design, develop, test, document and deploy web-enabled maps to support the business To work with web development and spatial data management teams to develop business applications/tools and spatial data models to support the business Objective Develop and deploy key processes within the Sellafield Maps environment Develop spatial data processes Manage stakeholders and interfaces Be conversant with Esri software Be conversant with FME software Deliverables Manage the Data team and integrate it with the sites business areas where appropriate and the other areas of the Sellafield Mapping teams Essential Requirements Several years of GIS team leadership experience Spatial analysis methods and techniques expertise Digital cartography / web mapping expertise Spatial data creation and editing expertise Advanced skills in GIS, especially ArcGIS Desktop expertise. The ability to code and script repetitive task's Highly Advantageous Experience with ArcGIS Server / ArcSDE Geodatabases, ArcGIS Python scripting, Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, FME Desktop and Server, graphics tools, map symbol and style creation. Nuclear industry experience. Familiarity with agile / scrum work practices Web development, especially for the sharing and visualisation of spatial data. Experience of mobile development e.g. mobile data capture, data dissemination, app creation, mobile GIS etc. Desirable Requirements Good communication skills Capable of managing change in complex environments Good personnel management skills Dynamic prioritisation Capita Resourcing welcome applications from all suitably qualified people regardless of gender, race, disability, age or sexual orientation.
