Job Description


My client are a world renowned organization. They have cemented a fantastic reputation for delivering results. They offer their staff unrivalled career opportunities to develop and progress in their chosen specialist profession.

They are currently looking for a Research Geophysicists who will conceive and develop new methods or enhance the capabilities of existing methods for multiple attenuation in seismic data. The role will see you work with a broader team to develop, implement, test and deploy these technologies. Applicants will have the following skillset:

Essential Job Experience:
?Develop, improve and implement multiple attenuation methods for seismic data.
?Prototype methods and techniques and validate with synthetic and real data.
?Pursue new developments, new insights, problem areas and opportunities.
?Publish achieved results and recommendations internally and externally.
?Leadership of a small team.
?Knowledge about multiple attenuation and adaptive filtering.


Qualifications:
?5-15 years experience in seismic data processing algorithm R&D.


Education Requirements:

*Masters or PhD in mathematics, physics, geophysics, engineering

Applicant Requirements:
?Proficient with at least one of the following: Fortran or Matlab
?Motivated by problem identification, solving, and implementation of solutions.
?Team leadership experience.
?Good communication skills.
