Job Description
My client is a major oil operating company located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. They are currently exploring and developing sites both on and offshore in very shallow waters. They are expanding their Subsurface department and are looking for a Geophysical Expert to join them. The Geophysical Expert will provide support to the Subsurface and Drilling teams with regard to technology and geophysical consultation.
The position will cover development of integrated models for Full Field Development Plans, assisting asset teams to increase study speed and reduce field review cycle time, act as the technical reference in seismic acquisition, processing, modelling, seismic interpretation and reservoir characterization for static modelling and implementation of workflows and procedures to integrate geophysical data into the day-to-day company activities.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of MSc in Geophysics and/or Geology, with more than 15 years varied industry experience in an operational environment. A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role is also required. They must have significant experience in application of geophysics in exploration, appraisal, field development, reservoir characterization, and interface with geological & reservoir simulation models, and have a working understanding of the capabilities/limitations of Geosciences software and tools, with the focus on Geophysics.
