They are currently recruiting for the position of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst, based in Houston, Texas.

Job Description

• Manage GOM Subsea GIS repository (as-built, geohazard, geotechnical, inspection data) with assurance of spatial-data integrity


• Define GIS data management processes (to include revision process, QC requirements, version control and user notifications)


• Interface with IT&S and IM groups to assist in hardware specification, data storage capacity and number of users


• Develop data standards and define content/format requirements for third party data deliverables, aligned with current & evolving industry standards


• Support region operations teams in the generation of spatial data work products (Data mining, storage & presentation/charting/drawing files/Common Operating Picture)


• Liaise with GPO subsea engineering team, GPO Project Information Management or GOO stakeholders (assigned GIS professionals or selected EPMS contractors) in the QA/QC/Integration/Analysis of inbound GIS deliverables


• Define GIS training and GIS System roll-out requirements for team-members and associated users


• Outline processes for ongoing GIS support and data maintenance


• Support GIS requirements for the GoM IMT (Info Mgmt Team), as specified in the company C&CM (Crisis & Continuity Mgmt) 'Planning Section' response plans


• Contribute towards the global company GIS practitioners community of practice, participating in regular conference as a focal point for GIS-related issues and development opportunities for the company GIS & data management discipline.

Skills & Experience

• PODS (pipeline open data standard) Esri Spatial experience required


• Demonstrable experience with Linear reference data sets required


• Geospatial Data Management experience in Enterprise SDE environment required


• Experience with ArcGIS Server & Portal for ArcGIS preferred

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
