Job Description


A leading regional independent oil and gas company is actively recruiting for an Explorationist to join their team in the UAE on a residential basis. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a successful operator who are continuing to develop and thrive in the oil and gas market.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the study and assessment of different upstream opportunities, data rooms evaluation, and development of various G&G projects.

To be suitable for this position you will need to have the following background:
*Minimum 15 years E&P experience in Geology and Geophysics.
*Seismic Interpretation
*Stratigraphy
*Proficient in Basin Modeling
*Quantitative Interpretation and Attribute Analysis
*Basic Knowledge of relevant software programs
*ME&NA regional experience would be a positive given the company's current portfolio
*Able to deliver technical presentations to internal staff and to clients.
*Able to work within an integrated team to deliver to a common goal.


Key Responsibilities:

*The primary function of this position is to develop the Company's exploration portfolio through integrated geophysical and geological interpretation
*Integrated geophysical and geological interpretation, mapping and evaluation of the Basin, and other basins as required, with a focus on the generation and development of exploration plays, leads and prospects for drilling.
*Performs 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and analysis using appropriate, state-of-the-art techniques to provide solutions for the organization.
*Preparation of predrill and post drill geological and geophysical documentation and data analysis, and provision of support and monitoring during drilling operations.
*Evaluate new venture opportunities as required, attend data reviews, and provide reports, analysis and advice to the E & P department.
*Attend Operated and non-operated JV meetings, with report and advice to the E & P Director
*Contribute to the creation and peer reviewing of initiatives and projects underway in the Exploration team.
*Carry out uncertainty, risk and oil field economics.
*Provide geophysical input to multi-disciplinary projects.
