• Advanced understanding of seismic technologies, reservoir geophysics and modelling
• Fluent German required
Job Description
The Role
We are looking for an exceptional individual for Exploration/operations Geologist position for one of our clients. The role would suit a qualified individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience and well site expertise or someone already moved into a similar role in the O&G industry, looking to take full responsibility for developing multiple drilling opportunities and add to the current portfolio and conduct geological studies using well, seismic and surface data. The candidate should also be able to provide geologic input to basin, prospectively, seismic analysis and drilling documents. Additionally, he should perform autonomous seismic mapping and prospect evaluations.
The successful candidate should have a pro-active and self-sufficient approach and be able to interact effectively at all levels as a successful negotiator and represent the company in stakeholder meetings.
Responsibilities
• Conduct geological studies using well, seismic and surface data with focus on Geology in Austria
• Perform seismic mapping and prospect evaluation including volumes and risk assessment
• Responsible for developing drilling opportunities and provide geologic input to diverse analysis and studies
• Assess and evaluate technical work execution of plans and make adjustments if necessary
• Present technical work in peer reviews and external stakeholder meetings
Requirements
• 5+ relevant experience in a similar role
• Holding a Master Diploma in related areas (Geology & Geophysics)
• Expert understanding of drilling, wire log data and formation evaluation
• Knowledge in subsurface mapping, well correlation and cross section construction
