Depth Imaging Geophysicist (3+ years) - Houston, TX - $Competitive
I am currently searching for experienced Depth Imaging Geophysicist candidates on behalf of my client - a leading international oil and gas services company. Job Requirements:
*Ensure all necessary testing is performed accurately and results are presented clearly
*Produce accurate forecasts and reports
*Design efficient processing sequences and testing flows
*Be aware of advances within seismic data processing, communication/data transfer techniques and up to date with company software
Essential Job Experience:
*Strong understanding of geophysical and geological principles
*Good knowledge of signal processing, demultiple and imaging
*Experience with both 2D and 3D seismic data
*Proven experience with Quality Control of seismic data, including 3D visualization and attribute analysis
*Proven ability and experience in problem solving
*Good technical, communication, supervisory and administrative skills
Qualifications:
3 years+ experience - seismic data processing
3 years+ experience - depth imaging
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. geophysics)
Additional Skills:
International professional experience would be an advantage
Language skills - fluent in English (written and oral)
Foreign language skills - knowledge of an additional foreign language would be beneficial
