Our client a looking to add an experienced Geophysicist to their growing operations in Houston. You will be joining a company with multiple industry leading clients working on exclusive international projects. The Advising Geophysicist will tasked with providing support to geophysical processing personal. A strong knowledge of all phases of 2D and 3D time and/or depth projects is required to supply support throughout project lifespan. You will also be interfacing with internal or external clients on processing technical issues, also functioning as a liaison between R&D and production team. Role responsibilities: All technical aspects of production projects Interface with multiple concurrent clients Provide expert knowledge to processing group Mentor junior staff Strong knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux based software Ensure all health, safety and the protection of the environment rules are followed Comply with correct use of safety devices and protective equipment rules Report any hazards, accidents or injuries to supervisor Job Requirements B.S degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics or Math 8+ years' processing; time and/or depth imaging experience Strong knowledge of geophysical and geological principles Proven ability to design workflows for complex processing problems Enthusiasm to produce premium quality products in an effective manner Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills *Strong communication skills verbal and written, internal/external All applicants MUST be eligible to work in the US.
