Post Saturation Height Function Modeling: Height above contact
In Petrel 2011,The 'height above contact' computed using Geometrical modeling process, assigned zero values around wells that penetrated OWC(oil water contact)of a reservoir, when both 'By center of whole cell' and 'By centre of the part of the cell' were employed. Please, could anyone profer reasons why it happened?...This had great impact on my water saturation modeling....Thanks in anticipation...Chris

Are you sure you had your OWC set correctly? did you drop the right fluid contact in there or did you enter the right value?

OWC is very correct. Still cant figure out why its locally incorrect at the grid cells...I even created property using the same OWC; and when displayed under the properties, it shows the well penetrating the OWC correctly. The problem is with the computation of height above OWC...Please, i urgently need help in this respect ...Thanks.

Are you maybe running geometrical modeling on upscaled property grids (should say: "is upscaled" in green if that is the case and have "[ U ]" behind the name)...
