The Ocean Portfolio announces that effective July 31st the *Ocean for *Petrel 2012.1 Software Development Kit is available for commercial distribution via the Ocean Store.

The release is compatible and integrated with Petrel 2012.1 released also for commercial distribution July 31st 2012.

Release Summary
Ocean for Petrel 2012.1 is a new release of the Ocean for Petrel API deployed with the Petrel 2012.1 release, enabling the development of Ocean plug-ins to extend the Petrel software platform capabilities across all domains and beyond while maintaining platform robustness and stability.
The Ocean software development framework continues giving access to more innovation, leveraging the Ocean ecosystem of independent software providers, universities, and the R&D breadth of Schlumberger, providing best-in-class science within fully integrated workflows. Extending the Petrel platform using the Ocean development framework enables oil and gas companies to build best-in- class workflows without the limitations of having to use multiple isolated niche applications.
