draping a thickness map on a structural map

Wed Mar 02, 2011 3:20 pm

Dear colleagues,

I have made a thickness map and a structural map of a particular interval, I want to drape the thickness map onto the structural map. How can I do that in Petrel.2010. It was easy to do in the old version, but in version2010, it can only drape an "image" to the structural map... where am I going wrong?

thanks

Hey Amad,

The new method is that you have to make the thickness map an attribute of the structural map. Right click the thickness map and select "Copy as surface attribute". Then right click your structural map and select "Paste as surface attribute". You will then have the option to select the thickness map from the attribute list of your structural map in the Input tree.
This way you can drape your map with any attribute.

did that solve it?
