Post Minimal offset for AVO?
Hi everybody!

Can anybody help me with the minimum offset requirement to identify oil in porous sandstones (35%) using AVO? I understand this depends on the depth and probably a load of other parameters. But what is a typical difference in reflection angle between the far and small offset traces? I just want some quick figures to see if it's possible to use AVO on our current datasets, as I want to know if even considering AVO analysis is worth it.

Thank you very much!
