help me in designing 2D seismic surevy

Wed Oct 11, 2017 7:28 am

i hvae to design a 2D survey, i have to justify each dip and strike line which i will acquire.
Image
i have given some reasons, but boss need more
can u people help me?
Strike
Though, we can have 1 strike but here we are acquiring 3 strikes after 24 km of interval each, because
during processing data can miss tie and these line will help us to minimize the noise.
We have kept optimum distance between strike line, from previous studies we have a rough idea of the area
of our anticlinal structure, considering the economics and to acquire the maximum area of interest we have
kept 4km of distance between our strike lines whose direction is parallel to geological strike of anticline.
DIP
Dip is perpendicular to geological strike of anticline. We have kept optimum distance of 2 km between dip lines,
keeping the area of anticline in our mind. Dip and strikes length are kept more longer than the extent of anticline
because some reflections are out of plane, and full fold is at center and on sides we have tapper zone ,
data is not that much clear.
Close dip interval also tell us the clines are steep or gentle sloped.
