I would also suggest the Paradigm Rock & Fluid Canvas suite of software as it is a well established and complete G&G system used globally throughout the E&P industry. Their current release (Rock & Fluid Canvas 2009R3) offers complete work flows for seismic processing & imaging, interpretation & visualization, geological mapping/sectioning, AVO / impedance inversion / reservoir characterization, reservoir modeling, and petrophysics, data management, and no doubt many other things that I've never utilized. I've been using Paradigm software for almost 10 years and it should be mentioned with the rest of the software listed here.

Jacobi,

Thanks for the tip! I've added the link and must admit I've never heard of it. I'm browsing their modules now...

Hi, new to the board :D

Myself and a partner have developed a log plotting app for the iphone and ipad. It gives mobility and freedom to import LAS files from anywhere (including the golf coarse 8-) ). Plots are fully customizable with annotation etc. The plots can be converted to PDF files and exported via email.

If you have a moment we are also looking for feedback and ideas to improve the concept etc more information on the app (and screenshots) is located at http://www.geoplotapp.com

thanks in advance,
