- Description: This chart is used to determine the diffusion coefficient of methane at a known formation temperature and pressure. These charts are used to determine the longitudinal relaxation time (T1) of methane by using the formation temperature and pressure and the transverse relaxation time (T2) of methane by using the diffusion and echo spacing (TE), respectively. This chart in the bottom right is used to determine the hydrogen index from the hydrocarbon density.
