- Description: This chart is used to determine the sound velocity (ft/s) and sound slowness (μs/ft) of gas in the formation. These values are helpful in sonic and seismic interpretations. Enter the chart with the temperature (Celsius along the top x-axis and Fahrenheit along the bottom) to intersect the formation pore pressure.
