Neutron Porosity Data Density, Memory (NNDM) |
This is an abbreviation for a well log used in the oil and gas industry. The code NNDM is a unique identifier to recognize this particular log and can be found in any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. Neutron Porosity Data Density, Memory is the offical name for this log. The business value of this log is often deamed high. This log can be used to evaluate the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed, for a neutron logging measurement. In general this is a measurement of the mwd data density. In other words, the density of data samples per length of borehole traversed; may be expressed as samples per unit length or as a Boolean indicator of sample presence within a depth frame. Simply said, this is a log that describes the density (mass per unit volume) of a material. Usually at Standard conditions (STP). Also used to indicate the frequency of occurrence.This log usually has the unit 'Counts Per Length'. Note: This log is kept in the memory of the tool until it is recovered from the well.Data for this log is produced by a tool that uses a neutron logging technique and can be used to investigate the data density of the acquisition process.
