Long-Spaced Quality Indicator (LQLS) |
This is a well log used in the oil and gas industry. You might have encountered this acronym LQLS in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The code stands for 'Long-Spaced Quality Indicator'. This log is not often acquired after (or during) drilling a well. The values of this log represent the indicator of some condition in the operation of a tool. So basically this is a measure of the indicator of the state of an entity or process at some moment in time. Also the position or rank in relation to others.This log in unitless. Either the log measurements can not be expressed with a unit (eg. a ratio) or the unit is unknown to us. Data from this log can be used to investigate the status of the tool.
