Potassium Yield in API units (KAPI) |
This is an abbreviation for a well log acquired after or during drilling. The acronym KAPI can be found in any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. Potassium Yield in API units is the offical name for this log. Usage of this log is not high and encountering it is a rare occasion. This log helps to evaluate the concentration of Potassium by weight. Simply said, this is a log that describes the relative content of a component; e.g., the concentration of salts in brackish water, the concentration of electric charges in a circuit, etc.This log usually has the unit 'API Gamma Ray'.
