Time Since Drilled from Gamma Ray, Memory (GRTM) |
This is an acronym for a well log used in the oil and gas industry. You could find this abbreviation GRTM in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The official name for this log is 'Time Since Drilled from Gamma Ray, Memory'. This log is not used too often in the industry. Use this log to investigate the time delay between the drill bit and a gamma ray sensor reaching a given point in the wellbore during MWD/LWD logging. In general this log thus reflects units of the delay time. Better said, the time difference by which one event lags another. In refraction seismic work, the additional time required to traverse a raypath over the time which would be required to traverse the horizontal component at the highest velocity encountered on the raypath.This log usually has the unit 'Time (seconds)'. Note: This log is kept in the memory of the tool until it is recovered from the well.Data from this log can be used to investigate the time interval of the formation. Similar logs are listed below:
