| Formation Depth (FDEP) |
This is an acronym for a well log used in the oil and gas industry. The acronym FDEP can be found in any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. Formation Depth is the full name for this log. Usage of this log is not high and encountering it is a rare occasion. This log displays readings of the perpendicular measurement downward from a surface. Also, the direct linear measurement from the point of viewing usually from front to back.This log usually has the unit 'Standard Depth Index'.
