Standard Deviation of CMR Free Fluid (CMFF_SIG) |
This is an abbreviation for a well log used in the oil and gas industry. You might have encountered this acronym CMFF_SIG in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The code stands for 'Standard Deviation of CMR Free Fluid'. This log is not often acquired after (or during) drilling a well. This log helps to evaluate the statistical standard deviation from the mean value for some data; normally abbreviated a lowercase sigma; the unit quantity is determined by that of the data. At a more general level these values are measures of the statistical property (A property of statistical nature, e.g. Standard Deviation, Average or Mean, Median, etc).This log usually has the unit 'Porosity'.
