Medium induction conductivity (CILM) |
This is a log of measurements along a well bore (a well-log). You could have found the code CILM in your log evaluation software or your corporate datastores. Medium induction conductivity is the offical name for this log. Usage of this log is not high and encountering it is a rare occasion. This log helps to evaluate the conductivity, made by an induction log, which represents a measurement made approximately two to three feet into the formation. Simply said, this is a log that describes the conductivity which represents a measurement made approximately two to three feet into the formation; generally considered to measure the formation where it contain fluids which are a mixture of mud filtrate, connate water and possibly hydrocarbons.This log usually has the unit 'Conductivity'. This is the quantity of electricity transferred across unit area per unit potential gradient per unit time. In isotropic material, it is the reciprocal of Resistivity. Sometimes called Specific Conductance. Data for this log is produced by a tool that uses a induction logging technique and can be used to investigate the conductivitty of the formation.
