Micro Resistivity Caliper (CALS) |
This is a well log used in the oil and gas industry. You could find this abbreviation CALS in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. Micro Resistivity Caliper is the full name for this log. This log is often used in the industry. This log helps to evaluate the borehole diameter as measured by a logging device: a record of the borehole or the internal diameter of tubular goods. At a higher level, this can be seen as a measure of the inside diameter (Inside diameter of an entity, such as an item of drillstring equipment).This log usually has the unit 'Cylinder Diameter'.
