ARC Gamma Ray Calibrated (CAGR) |
This is a well log used in the oil and gas industry. The acronym CAGR can be found in any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The acronym stands for 'ARC Gamma Ray Calibrated'. This log is not often acquired after (or during) drilling a well. This log can be used to evaluate the intensity of natural gamma-ray radiation emitted from formations containing radioactive elements, such as Potassium, Thorium, and Uranium. Measured according to API specifications.This log usually has the unit 'API Gamma Ray'.
