B1 magnetic field strength (B12)

This is an abbreviation for a well log acquired after or during drilling. You could have found the code B12 in your log evaluation software or your corporate datastores. The abreviatin stands for 'B1 magnetic field strength'. The usage of this log is well established.

This log helps to evaluate the property used to indicate quality or confidence of data from a nuclear magnetic resonance logging device.

This log usually has the unit 'Magnetic Flux Density'. This is the vector quantity symbolized by B and given in terms of the force produced on a small element of length which is carrying an electric current. B relates to the magnetizing force by a constant called the Magnetic Permeability.
