Interval Transit Time (TT) |
This is the name of a log measured along a well bore (a well-log). You might have encountered this acronym TT in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The code stands for 'Interval Transit Time'. This log is often used in the industry. This log can be used to evaluate the total acoustic travel time over a wellbore interval as computed by integrating acoustic slowness from a sonic log (Compressional Slowness) over the interval. At a higher level, this can be seen as a measure of the acoustic travel time (The total time required for an acoustic wave to travel from one point to another).This log usually has the unit 'Micro Time'.
