Downhole Head Tension from Tool 1 (ATE1_SL)

This is an abbreviation for a well log acquired after or during drilling. The acronym ATE1_SL can be found in any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. Downhole Head Tension from Tool 1 is the offical name for this log. This log is not often acquired after (or during) drilling a well.

This log displays readings of the tension of the logging cable as measured at the top of the logging tool

So basically this is a measure of the force tending to cause extension of a body, as experienced in a cable, rope, string, etc.

This log usually has the unit 'Force'. This is the agency or influence that if applied to a free body results chiefly in an acceleration of the body and sometimes in elastic deformation and other effects.
