T2 Logarithmic Mean - Multi Wait (T2LM_MW)

This is an acronym for a well log used in the oil and gas industry. You could find this abbreviation T2LM_MW in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The abreviatin stands for 'T2 Logarithmic Mean - Multi Wait'. Usage of this log is not high and encountering it is a rare occasion.

This log helps to evaluate the transverse, or spin-spin, relaxation time constant for transverse magnetization decay rate of nuclei; normally abbreviated by symbol T2.

Simply said, this is a log that describes the in nuclear magnetic resonance measurements, the time constant related to the rate at which nuclei realign to the static magnetic field after disturbance by a radio frequency pulse.

This log usually has the unit 'Short Time'.
