Flushed Zone 'Water Saturation (SXO)
This is the name of a log measured along a well bore (a well-log). You might have encountered this acronym SXO in your log evaluation software or any (ASCII) log files provided by the logging company. The code stands for 'Flushed Zone 'Water Saturation'. This log is very common in the industry. This log helps to evaluate the extent to which the pore space in a flushed zone around the borehole contains water.
So basically this is a measure of the fraction or percentage of the pore volume occupied by a specific fluid; e.g., oil, gas, water. This log usually has the unit 'Standard Volume Ratio'.
Data from this log can be used to investigate the saturation of the flushed zone.
